Prison inmates to vote in Saturday’s Anambra guber poll – IPOB alleges

During the Saturday, November 6 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, prison inmates from across the South East region would be release to cast their ballot for one of the candidate during the exercise, says the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The secessionist group also alleged that there was a grand plot to rob the people of Anambra State of their rights to choose a leader of their choice, in the election.

IPOB’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Emma Powerful, stated this in a statement copies of which were made available to the media, on Wednesday.

According to Powerful’s statement, “The global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra, under the command and leadership of our great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has, through intelligence, gathered that the Nigerian Government and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have gone to several correctional centers in the South-East zone and lifted inmates and Fulani youth living in other South East states to Anambra State, with the intention to use them and thumb-print in favour of the APC, in the forthcoming November 6 governorship election, in the state.”
