Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 23, 2019, presidential election, Mr. Peter Obi was among the notable faces at the resumed hearing of the Tribunal on Monday, June 10.
Mr. Obi is running mate to the presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, was present at the hearing of the petition filed before the tribunal against the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the 2019 presidential election.
Also present in the court was a former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, and a Commissioner at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Wole Olanipekun, while moving an objection on the preliminary application filed by President Buhari on his qualification said the application has been filed and served to all parties in involved in the matter.

However, drama ensued after a counsel who identified himself as Poland standing in for the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) announced his appearance. In his reaction, counsel of the Hope Democratic Party (SDP) Igwebuike, informed the court that since handling the matter he has never related with Poland and by extension does not know who he is.
President of the Tribunal, Mohammed Garba, urged all parties involved to privately sort out the issues of representation.
Garba also announced that all preliminary applications pending before the court would be heard on Thursday, June 13. The presidential election tribunal around 12.40pm adjourned to Tuesday, June 11.
Note that Justice Garba replaced Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa at the Tribunal after the latter recused herself from the panel following allegation from the PDP and its presidential candidate.
Justice Garba is the presiding judge of the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal. Garba appeared on the five-man panel for the first time on Monday, June 9.
