The Police on Thursday said Demola, the suspect who was alleged to have disrupted the voting process at the Okota and Ago Palaceway areas of Lagos Last Saturday will be prosecuted soon.

Recall that Demola and his gang of over 20 persons had stormed the said area in motorcycles and tricycles molesting voters who had come to exercise their franchise during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Voters who saw the act by the hoodlums as a breach of their rights had allegedly attacked Demola while his other gang members fed.

He was terribly injured on the head, other parts of the body. He was rescued by the police who swiftly responded and took him to the hospital where he is recuperating.
According to the Lagos Commissioner, CP Zubairu Muazu who said Demola is the prime suspect in the matter stated that , “ Nine suspects were arrested for the Okota incident and Demola is one of the suspect arrested. He was admitted at the hospital to receive treatment for his wounds. The Police will also treat him as the principal suspect in that case.
“ He will help the police to get those who are members of his gang and I assure you, he will be prosecuted. “
Muazu also calked on motorcycle and tricycle riders to adhere to the no movement directive as the command will enforce the directive totally during the Governorship and House of Assembly election on March 9th, 2019.
