No fewer than 93 suspected criminals have been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command in connection with various criminal activities.
The suspects were arrested for alleged involvement in crimes such as cultism, kidnapping, drug trafficking, armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, among others.
According to Commissioner of Police in the state, Bashir Makama, who paraded the suspects at the state command headquarters, Elewe Eran, exhibits such as cash, guns, cartridges, one Toyota Camry car marked SMK-124-AE, motor cycles, jewelries, hard drugs, mobile phones and wrist watches were recovered from the suspects.
He identified other items recovered from them as face masks, axes, generators, knifes and charms among others.

The Police boss added that the suspects were arrested at various locations within the state and its environs.
In the meantime, CP Makama has declared war on criminals in the State, warning that those who refuse to shun crime would “meet their waterloo.”
He promised one-month amnesty to those who were ready to renounce their membership of various cult groups, saying there would be a total clamp down on all known cultists who are using their membership of such groups to perpetuate heinous crimes.
He said, “Our war against crime and criminality in the state has produced these results, we are showcasing today. In our bid to suppress and curtail the act of kidnapping, robbery, cultism and other criminal elements, tactical and covert deployment of operatives have been deployed across the length and breadth of Ogun State”.
The Police boss urged all those who are in illegal possession of arms and ammunitions in the state, to surrender them now before they will be arrested by his officers and men.
