Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested the Founder and General Overseer of a church in Olomore, Abeokuta, Prophet Ebenezer Ajigbotolwa, for defiling two under-aged sisters (name withheld).

Preliminary investigations revealed the mother of the girls had fallen ill in 2018 and met with the prophet, who advised her to relocate her family to the church to avoid being afflicted with same sickness.

Ajigbotolwa had allegedly started having carnal knowledge with the girls aged 16 and 13, shortly after they moved into the church, and got them pregnant.

To cover up his shenanigans, the suspect reportedly procured abortion for the girl at a private hospital in the state capital.

Oyeyemi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) said the woman also claimed the prophet had defrauded the family of N2million, obtained for spiritual cleansing.

The statement read: “ Upon the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Muraina Ayilara, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP),  led his men to the church but the prophet had absconded.
