Investigation revealed that Taiwo had contacted the couple to buy a skull he intended to use for ritual purpose.
Their arrest, however, followed an information received by policemen at Odogbolu Division, that the suspects were digging a grave with the aim of removing already buried corpse, who was not in any way related to them.
According to the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi, upon the information, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Afolabi Yusuf, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), led his detectives to the scene.
Oyeyemi said, “Before the police got to the scene, the suspects had already removed the head of the corpse and left.

“The police then embarked on an intelligence based investigation which led to the arrest of Niyi and Remilekun, as well as Tolubi.
“The three of them confessed being the persons that dug the grave and removed the head of the corpse.
“They later took detectives to Ikenne where the fourth person who asked them to bring the head for ritual purpose was apprehended.”
Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Edward Ajogun, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.
