Police apprehend 2 parents for raping minor daughters

The Nigeria police force have reported the arrest of two male parents who were apprehended for raping their biological daughters, one of the suspects raped his six-year-old child.

Commissioner of police in Plateau state, Isaac Akinmoyede made the disclosure Wednesday, at the command’s headquarters while parading 26 suspects arrested within the last two months.

“One Isah Abdullahi of Islamic school Bauchi road Jos, aged 27 who defiled his daughter (name withheld) of 6-year-old. The suspect was arrested and the victim was taken to hospital for medical examination.” CP Isaac Akinmoyede stated.

Another parent who alleged to have raped his own daughter is one Azong Auta, whom the police commissioner said he forcefully had carnal knowledge of his daughter, a 10-year-old girl.

The police also paraded one Isaac Boniface, a 20-year-old man who raped a minor of four-year-old.

Commenting on possible ways of preventing Coronavirus among suspects in there custody, the commissioner of police said new suspects are medically examined before being remanded.

Speaking on the recent arrest of some community leaders who were alleged to have knowledge of gunmen attacking and killing people in Bokkos and Mangu local government areas have been charged to court.

Mr. Isaac Akinmoyede said a notorious armed robber, one Jude Chinedu, who specialised in car snatching was nabbed by his men on patrol.

The police also paraded a foreign currency doubler who lured and collected the sum of 2,000,000 million naira from a victim to buy mercury to be used for mass production of American Dollars; the suspects were found with one locally made pistol.

The police command in Plateau state presented to Journalists 7 locally made guns, 4 live cartridges, 4 ammunition 2 vehicles, with 2 mobile phones recovered from the 26 suspects currently in police net in Jos.

Commissioner of police Isaac Akinmoyede, said the suspects will be charged to court, when investigations are concluded.

The commissioner of police solicited for voluntary and credible information to the police as a means of ridding crime out of the society.
