The senator representing Bayelsa West in the National Assembly, Sen. Seriake Dickson, on Tuesday, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Graham-Douglas.
In a message, Sen. Dickson wrote that, “Today, I paid a condolence visit to the family of our departed father and leader, Chief Alabo Tonye Graham-Douglas who passed away early yesterday in Abuja at the age of 82.
“I went in company of my brothers Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (rtd), Interim Administrator Presidential Amnesty Programme and Major Lancelot Anyanya (rtd) to visit his widow, Mrs. Muriel Graham-Douglas, the children and other relations. I am glad to have also met our mother, Dame (Mrs) Patience Jonathan, wife of our leader and father, former President Goodluck Jonathan who also was there paying condolence.

“I join everyone else to pray God to grant the family the fortitude to bear this loss and to grant the soul of our departed leader and father eternal repose.
“It is a sad day for our people as another big Iroko of the Ijaw nation and Nigeria has fallen but let us take solace in the fact that he lived a good life. I hope to play my part as usual when the family eventually announces the burial activities.”
