Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of the Pan Yoruba group, Afenifere, has said his support for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has not changed, saying it was based on principle.
Adebanjo further said both the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and People Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, are not qualified to contest in the 2023 general elections.

On his confirmed twitter handle @PaAdebanjo, he tweeted: ” Atiku and Tinubu are not qualified to contest this coming 2023 election, I support power shift to the southeast, and my support for Peter Obi is based on principle. Anyone with superior arguments should come forward and let us dissect it together.”
He further tweeted: “I stand firm on the position of Afenifere on power rotation. Those who accept Naira and Dollar from (Tinubu) can say what they like, but they should attack me on justice and equity.”
