PDP determines Gov. Obaseki’s fate Thursday
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State will know his fate if he will be allowed to run for his reelection on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Thursday.
The leadership PDP will meet, on Thursday, to determine Governor Obaseki’s fate in the party.
Sources in the PDP said, on Wedenesday night, that the meeting would consider the reports from the various leaders of the party that the governor has met with in the last five days.

Governor Obaseki had met with Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, last weekend, before announcing his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) which disqualified him from participating in its primary.
His deputy, Phillip Shaibu, also resigned and lowered the APC flag in the Government House, in Benin-City.
Governor Obaseki has also reached out to PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus and Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, who is chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum.
