A middle-aged man, David Akpokpokpo has confessed to raping and fathering a three-month-old boy with his biological teenage daughter, Mercy Akpokpokpo in Sapele, Delta State.
According to a video posted on a Facebook page, Sapele Matters, a vigilante group in the area arrested Akpokpokpo after his daughter reported him.
During interrogation, he said he slept with her once under the influence of alcohol. His daughter, however, said her father slept with her four times and he is the one who deflowered her.
“The first time he touched me, he said wanted to know if I have been sleeping with other men and he slept with me. The next time, I locked myself inside the room, but he threatened to break down the door if I do not open it,” she said.
She said she lives with both her parents and said her father always sleeps with her each time her mother is not around. She said he threatened to poison her, her son and the mother if she tells anyone.
She said her father told her not to disclose the identity of the father of the child to anyone including her mother.
Akpokpokpo admitted to fathering the three-month-old boy with his daughter.
