If the information filtering out of the secretariat of a pan Yoruba pro-democracy, Egbe Omo Yoruba Ronu is anything to go by, a one million-man march would very soon hit all the major towns in the country to solicit support for the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to join the 2023 presidential race.
Our correspondent gathered authoritatively that, plans have almost concluded at the weekend over the modality of the exercise that is aimed at hitting all the capital cities and other important towns across the country simultaneously.
A phone call made to the office of the convener, Ogbeni Adeosun Adekunle, confirmed that the plan has reached 95% completion disclosing that, it is a matter of days for the organization to hit the major towns across the country to seek support for the Vice President’s purported presidential aspiration in 2023.

When contacted later, Ogbeni Adeosun believed that, to save cost and energy, Osinbajo appears naturally the divined successor for his boss for several reasons, saying the Nigerian people would benefit from the required continuity his succession would bring.
According to him, Osinbajo will just step into his master’s shoes without the unnecessary rigmarole the ascension of a strange man would require, reminding that, with Osinbajo, it would simply be natural continuation of work in the familiar terrain without lengthy briefing and hand over rituals.
This, according to him, would guarantee hitting the ground running for Osinbajo who has been around that corridor for a while now, adding that Buhari also would want to hand over power to a loyal deputy, a friend and an ardent supporter rather than a new man the people would spend time to understand.
“And since experience is the best teacher and that wisdom cannot go out of fashion, Osinbajo will fit the bill without much ado. This is the man that has at a time acted for his boss and performed excellently. He can never be comparable to someone who would just come in and start learning the rope of presidential lesson.

“While Osinbajo would need no acclimatization, a strange man would need vigorous tutorial to fit in. Against the forgoing, we want to sensitize the public about the need to support a known Angel to avoid a trial and error situation in a country of over 20o million people. people should be told in clear term that governance is better allowed to follow the natural chain of continuum from the leader, Buhari to his vice, Osinbajo,” the convener sermonised.
Other like minds among the Civil Society Organizations interviewed acknowledged the plan agreeing to be part of the rally when it kicks off.
