The All Progressives Congress (APC), Ondo State chapter has charged the newly elected chairman, Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Ondo State chapter, Hon. Charles Fagbohunka, to be pragmatic and innovative during his tenure of office.
Fagbohunka, who is the State Organising Secretary of the APC, emerged the new chairman IPAC in a transparent election, conducted under the watch of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Akure, defeating his closest opponent and State Chairman of the Young Democratic Party (YDP), Hon. Olanipekun Adebeye, with a wide margin.
The APC, in a statement by its State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Alex Kalejaye, viewed the feat as a clear indication that Ondo APC is healthy, stable and focused, contrary to hollow claims by a few individuals.
The party urged Fagbohunka “to draw from his political experience over the years to harmonise the parties, and ensure the group provides quality political education for the electorate.”

“We expect Hon. Fagbohunka, who is a member of the State Working Committee of our party to be innovative in his leadership style during his tenure as chairman of IPAC, Ondo State chapter,” the statement added.
The party congratulates him on what it described as “encouraging victory”, and urged him to justify the confidence reposed in him by the leaders of IPAC in the state.
The party appeals to unrepentant critics of the Adetimehin-led State Executive to jettison their unproductive stance against a properly constituted executive that enjoys popular and legal backing.
“It is not demeaning for a leader to embrace the truth, and explain same to followers once it is discovered their efforts are merely exercise in futility.
“However, we view criticising popular political setting and decision, out of sheer jealousy and hypocrisy as a parody of how politics ought to be played. This neither extols nor glorifies individuals or groups,” the party admonished.
