Ikorodu based APC chieftain, Oluwatosin Onamade, on Friday said the reappointment of immediate past Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and her confirmation by the Lagos House of Assembly was a reward for her hard work during the first term of the administration.
Abisola was among the 22 commissioner nominees confirmed by the House after screening. It is recalled that the House had rejected 17 out of the 39 names forwarded to it by the governor for confirmation.
In his congratulatory message to the commissioner nominee, Onamade said Abisola distinguished herself as Commissioner for Agriculture through various projects she executed, one of which was the opening of the Imota Rice Mill, Ikorodu.
He added she has proved to be a competent daughter of the Ikorodu division in Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
” Abisola distinguished herself during first term so it was not a surprise she was reappointed by the governor. Starting from when she served as Special Adviser on Agriculture to becoming a Commissioner, Abisola proved women can do what men can do and even better. We are proud of her. She has represented the Ikorodu division well,” he said.
He however urged her to do more on her second return as commissioner, adding the ‘ reward for hard work is more work ”
” Now that she’s coming on board again, I will urge her not to relent. She should pick up from where she left off. We are assuring her of our support. Reward for hard work is more work.”
