Omo-Aje retains seat as AA Nat’l Chair

The incumbent National Chairman of the Action Alliance (AA), Hon. (Dr.) Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje has emerged again to retain his seat for the next four years.
Omo-Aje, who contested Saturday at the party’s National Convention held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, though unopposed, polled 47 votes.
Other winners at the Convention supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were, Alhaji Ibrahim Yisa, Deputy National Chairman, Mr. Miller C. Ugwu, National Secretary, Comrade Olu Omotosho, National Publicity Secretary, Hajiyah Aisha Abdullahi, National Woman Leader, Comrade Dr. Awolola Awofala, National Financial Secretary, Comrade Wasiu Adeyemo, National Youth Leader and Barrister Rufai Abiodun, National Legal Adviser, who was voted for in absentia among others.

In his brief acceptance speech, the National Chairman, Omo-Aje thanked all the delegates, party leadership for the confidence reposed in him and assured them of his continuous hard work for the progress of the party.
He therefore solicited for their consistent support in his efforts at moving the party to the next level of enviable height.
State Chairman, Kwara AA chapter, Comrade Oladele Sunday, headed the electoral Committee that conducted the exercise and declared the winners.
