The Olowo of Owo in Ondo State, Oba Folagbade Olateru-Olagbegi SAN CFR has died, in Owo, on Wednesday morning. He was 77.
He was the eldest son of the late Sir Olateru Olagbegi. He was given staff of office by late Governor Olusegun Agagu on December 11, 2003.
The late monarch celebrated his 15 years on the throne in 2014. Oba Folagbade Olateru-Olagbegi was a lawyer.

He was appointed Chancellor of University of Benin in 2005 and later Chancellor University of Abuja.
Until his death, he was the Chancellor of University of Jos and a former Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas. He was married to Olori Ololade Olateru-Olagbegi and the family was blessed with children and grandchildren.
