Ogun monarchs strategise on community challenges, local governance

A pivotal meeting of traditional rulers from diverse communities was recently convened by traditional rulers within the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.

 

 

 

The meeting which held at the Secretariat of Ifo Local Government Area of the state was under the leadership of Olofin of Isheri and Adimula of Awori Kingdoms Kingdom.

 

 

 

The gathering served as a platform for profound discussions on the historical, current and future challenges facing each community, as well as the trajectory of local governance.

The monarchs engaged in extensive deliberations, reflecting on the past struggles and present-day obstacles impeding the progress of their communities.

 

 

With a forward-looking approach, they meticulously examined strategies to overcome these challenges and pave way for a prosperous future. Central to their discussions was the imperative need to address the early commencement of the Sango-Ifo Abeokuta, Akute-Oke-Aro roads, amongst other uncompleted infrastructure projects within the local government.

 

 

 

During the meeting, the traditional rulers were honoured to welcome the Executive Chairman of Ifo Local Government Area of the state, Mrs. Kikelomo Adelana, whose invaluable presence enriched the discourse.

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Adelana graciously addressed pertinent issues, emphasising collaborative efforts between traditional institutions and local governance in charting a path towards sustainable development and improved governance.
