Obuah mourns the late Nwakaudu

The Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, (RIWAMA) Brother Felix Obuah has described the sudden death of the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu as not only a huge loss to the media industry and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) but also to the larger Nigerian public.

The RIWAMA boss who made the remark as the remains of the late Nwakaudu were being interred in his home town in Abia State on Thursday, August 20, 2020, described the death of the governor’s media aide as most untimely and unfortunate.
Obuah, however, noted that Nwakaudu did not die in vain having contributed remarkably to the lively press in Rivers State and Nigeria as a whole while he lived, and also left a legacy that would be hardly equalled in the media especially in political communication.

“Mr Simeon Nwakaudu’s death is too heavy to bear but we pray God will give his family, the Rivers State government and us, his admirers in Rivers State the grace and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, and also grant his soul peaceful rest,” Obuah prayed.

Mr Nwakaudu, a seasoned journalist died on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt.
