General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, believes that obsession with food and sex has destroyed many powerful men of God.
The foremost Nigerian pastor described the obsession as ‘demonic’, adding that it was a battle that could only be won by the power in the name of Jesus.
Pastor Adeboye said this, on Sunday, at the ongoing 70th Annual Convention of RCCG, holding at the Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State.

The cleric also described obsession as ‘fixing one’s mind on one wrong thing knowing that it could destroy’, adding that “so many people are obsessed with alcohol, drugs, and sex.”
Pastor Adeboye made reference to Samson in the Bible who destroyed his glorious destiny because of an uncontrollable desire for sex.
He said it was so bad that Samson would go and meet with harlot just to have sex, which eventually became his waterloo.

Pastor Adeboye stressed that many ministers of God have had their successful ministry cut short because of their obsession with sex.
The cleric mentioned other demonic attacks to include possession, confusion, repression, and depression, all of which according to him could “only be curtailed by the power of Jesus Christ.”
He, however, urged everyone who desired to be successful to watch against the tricks of obsession as it could ruin their glorious future.
