Popular Nyanya market in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was razed by fire on Tuesday.
The Nyanya market fire outbreak was confirmed by officials of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), in Abuja.
Though the cause of the fire was not immediately known, some traders believed it could be through electric surge.

The Abuja Fire Service, however, in a statement through its spokesperson, Ugo Huan, confirmed that its officials had responded to the incident and that the fire was immediately put under control.
According to Huan, “It is true. We received a distress call and our men went there. Everything is under control,” she said.
