Nollywood actor, Junior Pope, revived few hours after death report
Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo, who was earlier reported dead has revived.
Junior Pope Odonwodo, was said to have revived few hours after he was reportedly dead.
It was said that the movie star was drowned in Anam River in Anambra State on his way to a movie location.
Reports say three other actors were also involved in the accident. Their identities have not been confirmed.
According to TheCable, a few hours later, Abubakar Yakubu, the national secretary of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), said the actor “is alive but in a coma”. He also disclosed that a medical team was called to resuscitate Pope.
The AGN secretary said, the movie star is currently in the hospital receiving treatment.
“Yes. He is alive. God has done it for us. He was in a coma all this while. Fortunately, when the medical team called, they said there is still life in him and they resuscitated him,” he said.
“Presently he is in the hospital now. Receiving further treatment. I can confirm that he is alive.

Earlier in the day, Pope shared a video of himself on Instagram on a boat on his way to the movie location.
“See me lamenting….The risk we take to entertain you; crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…. Na wahooooo Who does that ??” the actor captioned the post.
Earlier, the actor’s colleagues and fans dropped touching messages in the comment section of the post.
Some entertainers who reacted in the comment section as of press time include Yvonne Jegede, Ruby Ojiakor, May Yul-Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie; Tana Egbo-Adelana, Calista Okoronkwo, and Chizoba Nwokoye.
Yvonne wrote, “I can’t believe it. I don’t want to believe it. I refuse to believe it. Who will ask me ‘Who does that’ when next they see me?”
