Justice Babajide Aladejana of Ekiti State High Court has resumed duties after the National Judicial Council (NJC) reversed the suspension slammed on him 16 years ago.
Justice Aladejana had been suspended from office in 2006 alongside the state’s former Chief Judge, Justice Kayode Bamisile, during the administration of a former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Alfa Belgore for their alleged roles in the political crisis in Ekiti State, resulting in the impeachment of former Governor Ayodele Fayose on October 16, 2006.
However, following the review of his suspension by the NJC, Justice Aladejana officially returned to work on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, and now sits at High Court 2.
