Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun has been recommended as the next Chief Justice of Nigeria.
The National Judicial Council recommendation followed the imminent retirement of the incumbent, Justice Oluwakayode Ariwoola.

The NJC spokesman, Soji Oye announced the decisions in a statement on Thursday.
The announcement of Kekere-Ekun as the next CJN will be subject to confirmation by President Bola Tinubu and screening by the Senate.
