Nigeria, on Tuesday, recorded additional 148 COVID-19 positive cases, bringing its total confirmed cases to 2,950.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which made the disclosure, also announced the death of five more patients across the country.
According to NCDC, 17 states accounted for the new 148 cases.
A breakdown of the figures showed that Lagos had 43, Kano – 32, Katsina – 9, FCT – 10, Zamfara – 14, Taraba – 7, Borno – 7, Ogun – 6, Oyo – 5, Bauchi – 3, Edo – 3, Kaduna – 3, Adamawa – 2, Gombe – 2 while Plateau, Sokoto and Kebbi had one case each.

A further breakdown of Nigeria’s 2,950 confirmed cases puts Lagos ahead with 1, 226 cases. Kano comes second with 397, followed by FCT – 307 and Borno – 106.
