Medical experts have called on Nigerians and especially Lagos residents particularly to pay attention to their health by going for regular medical checks.
This call was made at a two-day Health Campaign at Ojodu Local Council Development Area in Ogba, Lagos State.
One of the experts, Dr. Afeez Aladeyelu, who described the programme as ‘apt and timely’, commended the Convener of the programme for investing in the health and well-being of the people.

In an address, the All Progressive Congress (APC) representative, Mr. Kelvin Ajakaiye, enjoined residents to always take advantage of such opportunity and adhere strictly to their medications as advised by their physicians.
Convener of the programme, representing Ward ‘C’, Oke-Ira, at Ojodu LCDA, Mr. Gbenga Opebi, explained that the essence of the medical outreach was part of his mandate to give back to the community.
Mr. Opebi noted that the two-day free health campaign, which involved screening for life-threatening illnesses and referrals when necessary, would end on Friday.
Some of the beneficiaries urged other political office holders to emulate the gestures and replicate same in their communities.
The Nigerian Xpress gathered that about 100 residents, who were diagnosed for malaria, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, blood pressure, obesity and diabetes, were also given free drugs.
