The management of Channels Television is under immense pressure to lay off their Imo State reporter, Pius Angbo over wife battery.
The couple were reconciled by the Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom. But that is not enough to assuage the anger of many who see as a reprieve.
According to them, Angbo is a serial offender and will still repeat the act if the couple does not go their separate ways.
The management of the television had issued a statement on Twitter saying it does not condone violence and that it is investigating the issue.
Channels Television does not condone violence against women or anyone in general.

“I don’t know what’s more absurd: that a governor ‘reconciled’ a woman with a man that abuses her or the fact that channels Tv hasn’t sacked their reporter yet,” Kwesi Alonso said on Twitter.
Another Twitter user said if the station does not lay off Angbo, it means it is condoning domestic violence.
Social media influencer, Dr Olufunmilayo, who was accused of rape by a woman, asked channels television to act swiftly.
A female doctor says she’s being beaten by her husband black and blue just 4weeks after having a baby.
Her husband is Pius Angbo of Channels TV. She’s had to make a video crying for help.
Her face is red, bruised, bleeding and battered. Dear @channelstv you need to act on this.

Many others said the couple should be allowed to work on their marriage since the parties have decided to give peace a chance.
