Nigerian Army begins massive recruitment, calls on interested people to apply

The Nigerian Army has started massive recruitment into its Short Service Commission and Direct Service Commission.

The force made this known via his official social media accounts on twitter and Facebook on Wednesday, August 14, adding that its website is now open for application.

The army, however, added that interested applicants are advised only to make applications through its website only.

Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that the Nigeria Army announced the acquisition of four Mine Resistant Anti Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAPs) as part of its strategies to intensify effort in the fight against Boko Haram.

A statement by the force on its official twitter handle also announced that the vehicles were acquired following partnership with an indigenous armour vehicle manufacturing company based in Ode-Remo in Ogun state.

It added that Proforce Nigeria Limited, which made the vehicles, did a commendable job in delivering first ever Nigerian Army proforce locally manufactured MRAP, four of which were inaugurated on August 1, 2019 by the Chief of defence staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin.

It was also reported the army issued an advisory for all troops following the death of three police officers in Taraba state by its operatives.
