The Labour Party (LP)’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, is leading his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Lagos State with the results of Saturday’s presidential elections declared in 17 out of the 20 local government areas of the state so far.
However, Tinubu has won more local government areas.
While Tinubu has triumphed in 10 local government areas, polling a total of 447,192 votes so far, Obi is ahead in only seven local governments, but is leading the tally with 448,878 votes, leaving a narrow margin of 1,686 votes.

Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Rabiu Kwawanso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) have not won any local government area in the state yet.
Atiku has polled 60,330 across the 17 local government areas while Kwankwaso got 6,870.
Tinubu won in Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, and Surulere while Obi triumphed in Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Amuwo-Odofin, Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, and Somolu.
The results for Mushin, Ojo and Alimosho were being expected as at time of filing this report..
