#NIGERIA DECIDES2023: Gov. Ugwuanyi crashes out, loses Enugu Senate contest to LP’s Okey Ezea

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has lost his bid for the Enugu North Senatorial zone seat in the Senate to Okey Ezea of the Labour Party (LP).

The Returning Officer, Prof. Chukwuemeka Ubaka, announced the result of the election, early Monday morning.

While Ezea polled 104, 492 votes, Governor Ugwuanyi of the PDP garnered 46, 948 votes.

Eze Simon of the All Progressives Congress (APC) clinched the third place with 6,816 votes.
