Lagosians, on Saturday, turned out in large numbers to vote in the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
At some of the Wards visited on Lagos Island, voters arrived at their polling booths as early as 7:30am with INEC officials also arriving at 8:00am.
At Ward E3, Unit 6, Eyekole Zone situated inside St. Stephen’s WAEC School, Lagos Island, where Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected to vote, voters numbering over 200 of the 634 registered voters in the Ward were already seated waiting for accreditation.
Some of the voters expressed delight with the early arrival of INEC officials and electoral materials. However, accreditation was yet to start at 9:39am.

At Ward E 21, accreditation and voting started at 9:40am. However there were glitches with the BVAs as some voters could not find their names on the machine.
Mrs Aisha who spoke with The Nigerian Xpress Newspaper expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of voters and expressed confidence his candidate will win.
At Ward 01 and 02, Open Space Phase 3, voting commenced early with large turnout of voters. Voters were peaceful as there were no glitches with the BVA machine.
