A Zamfara based NGO, Community Enlightenment Development Initiative, has distributed relief materials to victims of armed banditry attack now taking shelter at Nizamiyya Model Primary School in Anka Local Government area of the state.
Speaking at the formal distribution of the relief materials on Thursday, the Executive Director of the organization, Alhaji Kabiru Gusau said, the over 200 beneficiaries came from Kawaye, Kukoki and environs who were displaced following bandits attacks.

“The organization has so far trained over 200 victims in modern mechanized farming and assisted them with logistics so that they can become self reliant, and we intend to sustain this gesture if necessary,”he said.
According to him, the organization had also sponsored 30 orphans comprising both boys and girls to primary and secondary school levels.
“The beneficiaries are part of the victims of Kawaye attack also in Anka local government area of the state, ” he added.
While commending the initiative, Headmaster of the school where the IDPs are located, called on other organizations to emulate the gesture.(NAN)
