The security advisor to the nation’s soccer governing body, NFF, CP G.B Umar has tipped the Super Eagles to fly past Algeria today and land in the final of Egypt 2019 AFCON.
The soccer crazy Police Officer who is CP, Interpol, said the Eagles are fired up for today’s showdown against Algeria, even as he commended the federal government for giving the team total support in their quest to do the country proud.
Umar who was the chairman of Police Machine soccer team tasked the Amaju led NFF board to remain focused and concentrate on the task ahead and not allow itself to be distracted by people who want to pull the country down.
“It’s unfortunate that some people are not putting the country’s interest first in their activities, but the NFF board is doing a good job and I m confident God will reward their hard work with Eagles victory. We will beat Algeria today and Insha Allah, record another victory in the final and hand over the trophy to President Muhammadu Buhari who has stood solidly behind the team,” Umar said.
Nigeria and Algeria would do battle today by 8 pm Nigerian time in the second semi final of the Egypt 2019 tournament. Senegal and Tunisia would slug it out in the first semi final by 5 pm at the June 30 Stadium also in Cairo.
