In his kind gesture to reward and recognise outstanding staff, the CEO, New Planet Resorts Limited, High Chief Sunday Nwobodo, on Monday, December 23, 2019, organised an unforgettable moment for his Staff.
Nwobodo, a security expert and Ambassador for Peace, International Peace Federation, said he chooses to wine and dine with his Staff to prove to them that everyone matters, and there is no boss in his style of leadership.
Some of the personalities that graced the occasion were Barrister and Lady (Dr.) Chijioke Muoneke, Mr. Marius Ikechukwu Ezenwaka, Sp. Olusegun Rafiu, DPO, Ajangbadi Police Station, Mr. and Mrs. Johnmay C.N. Anagolu, CEO, Easy Way Limited, Pastor Alexander Obi, Pastor Uche Ikpeamaeze, Mr. Yakason, Paul Owelle, Tony Moore, and many others.
The event started with an opening prayer said by Pastor Obi. In his welcome address, the manager of the Resort, Mr. Kevin Audu, posited that Mr. Nwobodo is a man of the people who has made himself accessible to all workers irrespective of your level.

He said: “We are here today to celebrate with a man of the people. He is not the kind of man that claims to be the boss. He serves drinks with us, arrange chairs with us. He is a true definition of humility. His principle is just truth and do your work when you are supposed. He discovered here five years ago. When he started here, there was no Light in this community. Security was lacking, but he restored all these and made the area safe for the residents. New Planet has employed over Ten Thousand Staff since her existence. Our chairman has money yet he never stops working”.
Entertaining the guests, dancers from the Cultural and hip-hop music showcased their dancing step. Comedians like MC Nwaba Shantel and MC White entertained the guest with their rib cracking jokes.
The star price of a 2014 Toyota Sienna Car went to Mr. Norbert Onyibo. Nwobodo said the winner merited the award because he has shown his dedication and loyalty to him for 25 years, before he established New Planet Resorts.
In his closing remark, Mr. Johnmay described Nwobodo as a man who has the character of making people great and rich. He said: “Chairman is a good man. He is here every day working like a poor man who had nothing to eat. Many people who joined New Planet five years ago are not here today. But those who saw the need to stick with him are enjoying it today. In New Planet you will not only learn business you also learn how to run your family”.
