A new Inland Dry Port has berthed in Ogun State.
The ground breaking ceremony for the port will be done today by Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola at Soderu village in the Papalanto-Ewekoro area of the state.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Strategy to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Kayode Akinmade, the unveiling of the project aligns with the state government’s commitment to fostering economic development and advancing industrialization throughout the state.
The event is expected to draw participants from top stakeholders in manufacturing, freight forwarding and transportation.
Also to be at the event are representatives of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Nigerian Railway Corporation, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) and the Ogun State Shippers Association.
According to the statement, the collaboration highlights the broad support for the port’s potential to enhance the region’s logistics and supply chain capacity.
