Newly-appointed Director Army Public Relations, Col. Sagir Musa, has assumed office with a promise to carry the media along in the fight against terrorism and other security challenges bedeviling the country.
Col. Sagir, who took over from the acting director Col. Yusuf, assured that the era where rancour, suspicion, envy and bitterness reigned between the media and the military was over.
He, therefore, called on the media to help the military in getting rid of terrorists, kidnappers, bandits and other criminals causing havoc in the country.

At a brief handing and taking over ceremony holding at the army headquarters, Sagir Musa, also commended personnel of the directorate for their contributions to uplift arm public relations and promised to carry everyone along.
The handover/taking over ceremony is being attended by the president Nigerian Union of Journalist, Chris Isiguzo, deputy Nigerian Guild of Editors, Suleiman Usman Gaya and president of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Muktar Surajo.
