Mr Samuel Meshi, the Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa state has advised the people of the area to avoid provocative statements capable of igniting crisis.
Meshi, who made the call on Wednesday in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Akwanga, also urged them to live in peace, in their interest and the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that on April 14, suspected gunmen attacked and killed 16 people in Numa community of the area.
