The Nigerian police, Lagos Command, has revealed circumstances that led to the death of late singer Ileri-Oluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad.
The revelation was made on Friday by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Idowu Owohunwa at the police command, Ikeja, while giving an update with respect to the ongoing investigation into the singer’s demise in a press briefing.
The CP declared that the auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, who injected Mohbad, September 12, 2023, was a prime suspect in the singer’s death.
The late singer, according to the police, began vomiting and developed goosebumps after he was injected three times by the nurse, adding that Mohbad and his friend,Ibrahim Oluwatosin Owodunni known as Primeboy, engaged in physical fight In Ikorodu which resulted In the Injury he sustained, of which the nurse injected him for at home.

According to Idowu, the medical treatment resulted in Mohbad’s death.
Before arriving at its conclusion concerning the cause of his death, Idowu said those interrogated includes Mohbad’s father, mother, sisters, brother, wife and manager among several others.
He said Mohbad was already dead while being rushed to the hospital, and was certified dead by doctors on duty.
Investigations revealed the nurse was invited by Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sodiq aka Spending, to inject the singer at his residence following injuries he sustained on his hand during his fight with Primeboy,. The nurse administered three injections said to be multiple and highly potent which led to the chain of reactions that eventually led to the singer’s death.
“Mohbad began vomiting and developed goosebumps after the injections. As of today, a total of 26 witnesses have been interviewed,” the CP said.
He added five suspects have so far been identified, arrested, detained, and interrogated on their alleged roles.

Idowu revealed that the injections were Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and Cetrazone which is an antibiotic.
Other findings, according to the police commissioner, is that Primeboy attended a show with Mohbad on September 10, where they had a physical fight between them that led to Mohbad’s injury.
“The management of the injury subsequently resulted in his death,” Owohunwa said.
He confirmed that Samson Balogun,popularly known as Sam Larry, remains in detention for his complicity in Mohbad’s following a viral video showing himt bullying and assaulting the late singer.
Likewise, Abdul-Aziz Fashola, aka Naira Marley, was also arrested and is still in detention over similar allegations, the police noted.
He, however, said results of the autopsy and toxicology were being awaited.
