Mbisiogu commends Umahi on development of Ebonyi

A China-based businessman and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Diamond Logistics, Mr. Festus Mbisiogu, has  commended Ebonyi State governor, David Umahi for his giant strides in infrastructure development and agricultural re-invigoration.
Mbisiogu who stated this after a visit to the state, described Ebonyi as a model of development every governor should emulate, particularly south east governors.
He said:” I am proud of Governor Umahi and his team. Truly, he has executed the divine mandate of his administration equitably. This has of course resulted in the progress made in the areas of infrastructure development and agriculture.
“As far as I am concerned, Ebonyi State of today is the one of the best states in Nigeria in terms of infrastructure development, which is a key driver for progress, enabler for productivity and sustainable economic growth.
“I am shocked at the level of development going on silently in the state. I am proud of Ebonyi because with the level of infrastructure investment that I saw, human development, poverty reduction, and the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are guaranteed in the State.”
He urged the governor and his administration not to relent, but to ensure that this model is replicated in other states.
Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Eric Kenneth Igwe who conducted Mbisiogu round the state, commended him for the roles he has been playing in ensuring that Nigeria and China maintain a cordial relationship.
Earlier, Mbisiogu and his team had visited Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance Party in the March 9th gubernatorial election in Imo State.
He used the occasion of the visit to advocate for a peaceful election even as he urged the electorates to go out and vote for the candidates of their choice.
Mbisiogu is expected to continue his tour with a visit to Abia Senator elect, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu and the Abia State  All Progressive Congress candidate  in the governorship election in the state, Mr. Uche Ogar.
