Many times, Peter Okoye debunks claim of P-Square reunion

The entertainment industry, social media witnessed an unexpected twist of events on November 14, when the biggest duo in Africa P-Square sparked reconciliation rumours after following each other back on social media.

Until the reunion, many fans had given up on the group acknowledging each other’s existence let alone following each other back on social media and celebrating their 40th birthdays together.

On August 18, Peter made a statement debunking any rumour of the duo getting back together after a misleading caption about the duo getting back together went viral on the internet.

The report by PMNews had alleged that the duo will get back together had raised hopes about the Nigerian singers will reunite.

Reacting to this, Peter, also called Mr P stated clearly that the duo has moved on and any hope of getting back together should be erased.

Commenting on the video, Peter wrote, ” Stop wasting your (time) and deceiving people! That was 2015. Change is constant. Everyone has moved on and nothing last forever!”

In March, Peter again asked fans who still hoped for a possible reunion to move on. A fan had threatened to boycott the singer’s solo album if he does not get back with his brother.

Responding, Mr P bragged that he has and will continue to sell tickets and get online streams with or without his brother.

After they parted ways in 2016, the duo began throwing subtle shades at each other on social media, Peter also bragged that he makes more money as a solo artist than when he was in the group.

Any hope of resolution of the war between the brothers was dealt with another blow after Paul failed to condole with Peter when he lost his father-in-law Oladipo Omotayo in December 2020 and were absent at the funeral in February.

We can only hope that this new step towards this healthy relationship will lead to a reunion album, a world tour and a permanent revival of the group.
