A young man identified as Okechukwu has been stabbed to death by his wife’s brother during a fight in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The Nigerian Xpress learnt that the incident happened around Afikpo/Akwuzu waterfront in Mile 1, Diobu axis, of Port Harcourt.

A source from the area, who disclosed the incident to our correspondent, said the incident happened after a long quarrel between the deceased and his wife, Agbani, over alleged infidelity.

It was gathered that the victim, who was gruesomely murdered by his brother-In-law had two children with his wife whom he reportedly severally accused of sleeping around with different men in the neighbourhood.

According to the eyewitness, “The woman had problem with the husband.  The husband was accusing her of infidelity. He said she was sleeping around with other men.

“As a result of that the man told her that she should leave his house to her parents house until they advised her on what to do.

“In the process, she called the brother who came to the compound and started fighting with her husband.

“In the cause of the fight, the woman’s brother stabbed her husband to death and ran away.”

A police source, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that the said Agbani (wife of the victim) had been arrested by the Mile 1 Police Station alongside her sister.
