Malaria Consortium, a non profitable organisation, on Saturday commenced the training of 956 Distribution Point Supervisors and other distribution team members across the 17 local government areas in Yobe.
The Senior Campaign Manager Long Lasting Insecticidal Net Campaign Coordination Network (LCCN) Adaeze Aidenagbon made this known in Damaturu, one of the training centers.
“There are 956 distribution points in the state, which is which tallies number of supervisors in the state, except in some certain security comprised areas that require special attention and arrangement to be accessed.
“The training is focused on two aspects – on Way Bills and distribution point Inventory Control Card (ICC)”, said.

Aidenagbon added that comprised seven team members “One Distribution Point Supervisor, two Distributors, two Crowd Controllers, one Security and West Manager and Distribution Point Health Educator”.
She added that other team members which included Crowd Controllers, Security, West Manager and Distribution Point Health Educator would equally be trained on due course to ensure effective distribution in the state.
Ibrahim Mohammed, one of the trainees said the training was interesting and it gave the participants clear picture of how to carry out their duties as Supervisors without hindrance. (NAN)
