Lolo Nsonma Okechukwu goes home

The royal family of Okechukwu Ikwuezigha of Agbaghara Nsu in Ehime Mbano, Imo State, has announced the transition to glory of their matriarch, Lolo (Lady) Rufina Nsonma Okechukwu, LSM, aka  Odiukonamba.

A statement signed by one of her children, Barrister Nnamdi Okechukwu, disclosed that she died on November 15, 2022, aged 80 years.

According to the statement, funeral rites for the deceased begin on Friday, April 13, 2023, with a Vigil Mass at her residence, Chief (Sir) Virgilius Osondu Okechukwu’s compound, in Agbaghara Nsu, Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State by 5:00p.m. prompt.

This shall be followed by a funeral Mass at St. Columba’s Catholic Church, Agbaghara Nsu, on Friday, April 14, 2023. Interment follows immediately at Chief (Sir) Virgilius Osondu Okechukwu’s compound, in Agbaghara Nsu, Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State. 

Thereafter, there shall be an Outing Service at St. Columba’s Catholic Church, Agbaghara Nsu, on Sunday, April 16, 2023, by 9l00a.m.

Lolo Okechukwu was a doting wife and mother; a devoted Christian and a pillar not only to her family but also to every community she found herself in, especially during her career path. She was a meritorious educationist, who presided as principal in many secondary schools in Imo State and left a huge impact on the lives of her students and teachers. 

She is survived by her husband, Chief (Sir) Virgilius Osondu Okechukwu, children, grandchildren, in-laws, and a host of other relatives.
