The traditional ruler of Imeke Kingdom, Oba Olatunji Ogabi, the Oyikilu I, has advised Gov. Babatunde Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State to listen to people’s voice toward ensuring development of the state.
Ogabi gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Imeke Kingdom, Badagry, Lagos.
According to him, we have been working for the development of the state.
“Our people are always assisting the government in power to achieve their objectives.

“I pray that God will help Gov. Sanwo-Olu to listen to the voice of the people, because if not for them, he will not be in government by now.
“Lagosians put him in that position; and all they want from him is that he should try and provide for their needs,” the monarch said.
Ogabi, however, decried the deplorable state of Lagos – Badagry Expressway, describing it as a total disgrace to the entire nation.
“Lagos Badagry Expressway is an embarrassment to we, the Obas, in Badagry.
“The road is a disgrace to all and sundry in Nigeria, because this is an international road that leads to other West Africa countries like Republic of Benin, Ghana, and Togo.
“We, however, believe that our new governor will surely do something to reduce the sufferings of our people in the areas of road network.
“We have discussed the issue with him during his campaign, and we will still write him a reminder now that he has assumed office as the governor,” he said.
The monarch said that traditional rulers in Badagry division used to meet regularly to discuss issues affecting the divisions.
He urged all and sundry in the state to support the new administration in order to work on the development of the state. (NAN)
