Benue state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has asked a Makurdi High Court presided over by Justice Kpochi to issue an interlocutory injunction restraining Benue State Independent Eleçtoral Commission, BSIEC, from excluding the party from participating in the local government elections slated for end of March.
Disclosing this to The Nigerian Xpress, the state legal adviser of the APC, Barrister Omale Omale, said Justice of the High Court has fixed Monday for hearing of the matter.

Omale said the electoral body refused to process documents of APC candidates after they had paid for the forms and filled them for submission but they were told that an order had been given to the effect that APC candidates’ forms should not be processed.
Omale noted that the court would have entertained the interlocutory injunction on Wednesday but necessary parties had not been served.
He said after the court would have entertained the injunction, the substantive suit would be considered.
