LASU begs singer, Bella Shamurda to come back to classroom

The official Twitter account of Lagos State University (LASU) published a tweet, begging singer Bella Shmurda to return to school and earn his degree.

While marking his birthday,  Bella took to Twitter to reveal that his music has exceeded half a billion streams.

He added that if not for music, he’d still be in LASU,  wining and dining with carryovers and an empty pocket.

LASU responded to his tweet, telling him that they are glad to have played a part in his “beautiful story.”

“By the way, please come back to class and earn your degree,” LASU told the singer.

Meanwhile, The Nigerian Xpress has reported that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, on Tuesday, said he would not interfere with the ongoing selection process that would lead to the appointment of the substantive Vice-Chancellor of the state-owned Lagos State University (LASU).

The governor said he does not have a personal interest in who becomes the next Vice-Chancellor of LASU and therefore has no intention to influence the process, adding that due process would be followed in the appointment.

Governor Sanwo-Olu made the statement while receiving members of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU) led by its chairman, Prof. Samuel Edoumiekumo, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Lagos House, Ikeja on Tuesday.
