Lagos: Security expert lauds Gov. Sanwo-Olu over rail line clearance

...Says, 'it’s civilised system of saving lives and properties'

A Security Consultant and Chartered Public Administrator (CPA), Comrade Razaq Olokooba, has commended the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Olusaola Sanwo-Olu on the step he took by freeing the rail lines in the metropolis of intruders who have turned the railway lines into their shops and market places describing the step as a right on in the right direction.

Olokoba, who is also a renowned right activist and President of Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), told the media in Lagos Monday Morning that, people should always have it at the back of their mind that, one of the major responsibilities of president of a country as well as the governor of any state is security of life and property, reminding that, “it is when you are alive and physically sound that the proceed of the trade you are plying on the rail could be of any benefit to you.”

According to him, the step Sanwo-Olu just ook has multiplier effects on the wellbeing of his people in the state, explaining that, any life carelessly lost on the rail line would no doubt affect the family of the deceased like the parents, children and several dependants whose responsibilities would unnecessarily transferred to the government and rest of the populace.

The youth leader and Convener of several Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), said, “as a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (MNIM) , and Security Consultant , I am talking out of experience and so can authoritatively analyse that, Governor Sanwo-Olu’s action has shown him as a brilliant administrator who is sensitive to the plights of his people.”

Olokoba expressed the conviction with the state of the nation now that is tasking the brain of those in the authorities on how to cushion the temporary hardship bedevilling the citizenry, it would not be advisable for same citizenry, whose welfare they are struggling to cater for to start creating more inconveniences for themselves and by extension for the authorities too.

Against this backdrop, the political watcher and public commentator thereby appealed to those directly affected to see Sanwo-Olu’s action as in good faith and not to be misconstrued for any political vendetta or act of victimization, saying, “Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu should be allowed to get focussed to deliver the superlative dividends of democracy he promised the populace during his second term in office.”

Concluding, the social analyst expressed the belief that, “it is when the Governor is given a conducive environment and right frame of mind to operate correctly that the good people of the state who gave him his second mandate would be able to reap the fruit of the mandate they voluntarily gave him to be governor for a second term.
