The Lagos State Government has announced that public and private schools in the state should resume for third term 2020/2021 academic session tomorrow (Tuesday, May 4).
In a statement by the Director General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, the Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, wish pupils happy resumption.
The director-general enjoined school managers to enforce strict compliance with subsisting protocols to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state and ensure that pupils and staff stay safe.
According to her, OEQA evaluators would be visiting schools across the state to monitor resumption activities and to ensure compliance to the state unified academic calendar date to promote the T.H.E.M.E.S. agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on education and technology.
Pupils in boarding schools are enjoined to resume today in preparation for academic activities.
Proprietors and administrators are to ensure strict compliance to the Lagos State Government academic calendar/resumption date.
