Nine suspected cultists who had tried to disrupt the election process at Shomolu-Bariga area of Lagos have been arrested.
The Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Zubairu Muazu who disclosed this on Saturday at the Command Headquarters said the suspects were arrested about about 9 am.
Zubairu said the suspect who had stormed the area in motorcycles had threatened voters at various polling units in the area with charms.
Zubairu said, “ The suspects who came in motorcycles claimed to be cultists. They were smoking, brandishing charms and molesting electorates.”
The Commissioner of Police said the suspects have been taken to zone 2 and will be charged to court soon.
