The death has occurred of the chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, in Lagos State, Mr. AbdulFatai Oyesanya.
The late council boss was reported to have died in the early hours of Tuesday, in Lagos, after battling an undisclosed health issues at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

His body had since been taken to Ijebu-Ode, his home town, for burials in accordance to Islamic rites.
Oyesanya was elected chairman of the council on 2011 and re-elected in 2017 for the same position which he still occupies until his death, on Tuesday. He was in his 60s.
