Motorists and commuters plying the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway will, this weekend, experience gridlock on that axis due to ongoing construction work.
The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Boboye Oyeyemi, gave this hint while addressing journalists after an interactive session with the Command’s Zonal Commanders, Sector Commanders and Unit Commanders of Lagos and Ogun States, on perennial problems of traffic, on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The FRSC Corp’s Marshal said there would be yet another closure of some lanes of a section of the road to enable the construction firm apply bitumen on the road.
Oyeyemi, who noted that the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, was on the last lap of construction work, urged motorists to exercise patience while work progresses.
He stressed that if only motorists could obey simple traffic rules, the gridlock being experienced on the axis would be minimised, adding that men of the Command will always be on ground to manage traffic on the road.
